The new Remington 1100 G3 barrels is not the same as the old 1100 barrel. It is very similar to the 11-87 barrel. Does anybody have experience mounting the 11-87 barrel on the 1100G3?  I will try to call Remington anyway.  Their website is really confusing on that issue.

Why do you want to mount a 11-87 barrel on the 1100? Do you have extra 11-87 barrels?

I want a rifled barrel for deer hunting and if I could get an extra barrel for the 1100G3 I would save some money.

You need to get the Remington Model 11-87 Deer Fully Rifled Cantilever Barrel, model #REMG RM1549:

Thanks. This is exactly what I want. I think Remington updated the website recently. Last time I looked there was nothing.

I have exactly the same setup. The 1100 G3 is just an 11-87. Do not forget the 11-87 rifled barrel is not pressure compensated and light loads won't cycle well.
Happy hunting.
